Editorial policy
This page explains how to interpret MacFastSearch articles and their limits. It describes the publication's content standards; it is not a certification from an advertising partner or a guarantee of professional review.
Purpose and scope
Guides address a specific practical task. They should explain prerequisites, steps, examples, failure cases, and how to check the result. Article length is not a substitute for usefulness, and category coverage is intended to make related information easier to find.
Sources
Product-specific instructions use links to official documentation where available. Readers should consult those sources for current interfaces, availability, permissions, and limitations. General workflow suggestions are presented as advice to adapt, not as measured performance claims.
AI assistance and review
AI tools assist with drafting and research. Automated checks cover matters such as missing content, broken internal paths, duplicate identifiers, article structure, and image availability. Those checks are not equivalent to independent human subject-matter review. See the authorship disclosure for the current attribution model.
Examples and product claims
Examples are illustrative unless a test is explicitly documented. Articles should not claim personal experience, quantified time savings, rankings, or specialist credentials without supporting evidence. A mention of a product is not a promise that it is suitable for every reader.
Photographs
Stock photographs illustrate the subject. Their source and photographer are credited with the article where supplied. People shown are not presented as MacFastSearch staff or as endorsing the article. A photograph of a device does not demonstrate that the described workflow was tested on it.
Advertising
Advertisements are separate from article content. Clicking an ad is optional and is not required to follow a guide. The presence of an advertiser does not establish the accuracy or suitability of its offer. Any affiliate arrangement attached to a particular editorial link should be disclosed where the link is presented.
Dates and corrections
Publication dates identify the original article release. Substantive revisions carry an update date. An update date does not promise that every external product has been tested again. To report a correction, provide the article URL, the relevant passage, and evidence or steps that help reproduce the problem through our contact page.
Using the guidance
Check account permissions and preserve important work before making consequential changes. Follow your organization's requirements and the relevant provider instructions. For decisions that require professional expertise, consult a qualified person rather than treating a general guide as individualized advice.
